100 Billion Dollars Can Change The World

In Canada, even the United States people are winning millions of dollars off of one $5 lottery ticket. In third world countries, people are using everything they have to get through one day. We are very fortunate in our day and don’t realize it sometimes. Turning on the tv in our lives is something that is just there for us because our parents pay $60 a month to watch every day. A little child in Kenya would dream to turn on a tv and watch it for 5 minutes of their whole entire life. Food has always been a big aspect in everyday living in cultures, but some cultures are eating rice every single night where we are eating a full steak dinner with all of the fixings. Animals in Canada are a source of food, where in Kenya a goat is so sacred to them they will do anything to keep that goat so they can either sell it for $5 or keep it and butcher it for dinner. School is something that I sometimes hate getting up for, mean while a child in a third world country would die to have a good education and to get up to go to school. We just don’t sit down and realize how good we have it. These are just some comparing issues that are happening around the world, and I would change that with 100 billion dollars.

A 100 billion dollars would go so far in a third world country, to build schools, houses, wells, safe community areas, hospitals, etc. There are plenty of more structures that could be built for the communities in these countries. AIDS is another issue in these countries because of all the diseases and unprotected sex that is happening. Little babies are born with this issue because their grandma had passed it on to their mother when she was born as well. This is an ongoing concern in these countries and if I were to have 100 billion dollars I would have a clinic to prevent, try and cure, and help the people with this terrifying disease. Building schools would be very beneficial to these third world countries because children could have dreams of growing up and being a doctor, or going and moving out of that country and becoming a successful business owner, etc. These are what children should be dreaming of and not just praying to God to get through the day without dying of dehydration. Dehydration is also a huge issue in these countries because they are getting water from contaminated wells, therefore children and their families are getting sick and some are dying because of these wells. Therefore I would be installing an immense amount of wells so people can get uncontaminated water. Housing in these countries are immense and I really do not know how families live like they do. Mud, rocks, twigs, etc. are being used to make their home that they celebrate special occasions, sleep, eat in, etc. Bugs are infested in their, what they call homes, and those bugs are crawling all over the little children and their families at night. Not to mention all of the dangerous animals that are surrounding the villages and sometimes invading them, a little snake could kill people.

These issues are really something that people in the world should not be concerned about, but they are. If you gave me 100 billion dollars I would change these countries and make them a safe and healthy place for humans to live. Places that people could go and visit on their vacation would be a goal I would try to achieve. A goal that I have set in my life, even before you gave us this assignment, was to go to a third world country and help the poor, make their day, and be something or someone that little children will remember for a lifetime. Therefore I think you should give me the 100 billion dollars so I can make a little childs day.

  1. Great intention, with a good amount of explanation and reference. More specifics = more clarity in backing up your points.

Minor spelling and grammar errors here and there.

Remember to emphasize that formal essay style.
